Juvenile Justice

How to Contact Juvenile Justice

The Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) operates 13 probation offices across Alaska—six of which are co-located with our secure facilities. Our team of nearly 500 dedicated employees serves youth and families across the largest state in the union, often traveling by plane, boat, and long stretches of road to reach even the most remote communities.

Alaska's youth are as diverse as its landscape, and so is our team. DJJ staff reflect a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, bringing cultural understanding, empathy, and skill to the work we do every day. From small, tight-knit teams in rural offices to larger hubs in urban centers, every DJJ office is unique, just like the communities we serve.

Our facilities provide both detention and specialized treatment services, tailored to meet the needs of young Alaskans. The Director's Office is based in Juneau, with regional support offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Kenai, helping to anchor our statewide efforts.
