You can find positions of all kinds and for all skill levels within The Alaska Pioneer Homes! We have professional positions in many fields, from in-home care to administrative office positions. Our Juneau Home also provides a certified nurse aide training program through a partnership with the University of Southeast Alaska. And we also love volunteers, see our volunteer's section below!

Can I volunteer?
Yes! The Pioneer Homes offer a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, school groups, civic organizations, churches, local businesses, and other organizations. Volunteers provide meaningful activities for the elders who reside in our homes and contribute to our elders' overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Some of the many ways in which volunteers can help include:
Social Visits
Assist with organized activities
Assist with reading
Playing games
Assist with community outings
Adopting a flower or vegetable garden
Completing a home improvement or organizing project
Bring children and pets to visit (only certain homes have pet visiting programs)
Providing musical entertainment
