How does the Alaska Pioneer Homes Waitlist work?

Applying to the Alaska Pioneer Homes places the applicant on a waitlist. The waitlist is comprised of two branches that applicants may transfer between as needed. Both lists are arranged chronologically by date of application. There is no cost to apply, no obligation to move-in, and no time limit on remaining on the waitlist.

  • Active Waitlist - For applicants ready to enter a Pioneer Home of their choice within 30 days of receiving an admissions offer.
  • Inactive Waitlist - For applicants interested in moving into a Pioneer Home at some point in the future.
