DFCS Logo Usage Guidelines
The Alaska Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS)'s mission is "To provide support, safety, and personal well-being for vulnerable Alaskans." The DFCS logo is an important aspect of our brand and should be used and recognized as an endorsement of our department.
To maintain consistency and ensure proper use of our updated logos, DFCS has developed a set of logo usage guidelines. These guidelines outline how and where our logos can be used. All department staff, partners, and vendors should follow these guidelines to uphold our brand integrity.
All our department logos were revised and standardized in December 2024.
Any logos used before December 2024 should be replaced with the updated versions below.
If you need assistance or have questions about logo use, please reach out to the
Public Information Team.
Logo Types
The Department of Family and Community Services maintains four different logo variations:
Primary,
Insignia,
Round-Text, and
Signage. These logos are the only approved logo identities for the department. Each variation also has a number of color options. Click on any of the logos below to see the versions we have available for download:
Primary DFCS Logo
This is the primary logo file, appropriate for all internal and external uses. It is the most versatile of our logos.
Insignia
The Insignia is a simplified graphic used in branding situations where the department’s name is already known or not necessary. It is generally used in a decorative manner.
Round-Text Logo
This version is ideal for limited space or square formats where the horizontal Primary Logo may not fit. It works well for business cards, branded gear, print materials, and PowerPoint presentations.
Signage
The Signage logo is designed for large-scale, public-facing applications and should be the preferred option for permanent or outdoor use.
This logo is not available online. Please reach out to the DFCS Public Information Team if you need assistance with signage.
